3) Song review on The Black Eyed Peas - I gotta feeling

"I Gotta Feeling" is a song by the group The Black Eyed Peas and their second official single from their fifth studio album The E.N.D.[4] The song debuted on May 21, 2009.[5] The song was produced by acclaimed French house DJ David Guetta, who makes a cameo appearance in the music video (2:20) (next to Kid Cudi). "I Gotta Feeling" debuted at number two behind the group's own "Boom Boom Pow" on the week of June 27, 2009, on both the Canadian and Billboard Hot 100 charts, making the group one of only eleven artists who have occupied the top two positions at the same time on the Billboard Hot 100. The song went on to replace "Boom Boom Pow" at Number 1 on the US charts and eventually reach Number 1 on 20 charts worldwide. It tied with "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey for longest weeks at number one for the 2000's decade and also tied for the second-longest running number one of all time, only behind "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey feat. Boyz II Men. It was named 5th on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade.[6]

The song has received mixed reviews, but enjoyed considerable success in terms of chart performance, and is the Black Eyed Peas' most successful single in that respect. Both the original and alternate versions of the song were performed in a variety of venues in 2009, including on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, and at sporting events, and have been covered in albums by other groups.

The music video for the song also debuted in 2009, and features cameo appearances by other celebrities, including David Guetta, Kid Cudi, Katy Perry, Chantal Jones, and members of the band Gossip.

The song was nominated for Record of the Year at the 52nd Grammy Awards and won the Grammy for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.[7] The song is also nominated as Song of the Year at the 2009 World Music Awards .
